Is 12 Nm enough, or should I get the ARES 20?

For GT and most racing, 12 Nm is genuinely enough - many drivers run high-torque bases at similar levels anyway. The ARES 20 Platinum adds headroom (20 Nm, slew rate up to 9.5 Nm/ms) so strong effects render with reserve. The core platform - skew-pole motor, 23-bit optical encoder, CDR quick release - is identical.

Is a steering wheel included?

No - the ARES 12 is the wheelbase alone. The Conspit Bundle Builder pairs it with a wheel in one step - the 310 APEX (CDR) ships with the CDR wheel side already fitted.

Which steering wheels work with the ARES 12?

Conspit wheels connect cable-free over the CDR quick release (the 310 APEX has the wheel side included; the 300 GT and MAX 01 need the CDR Quick Release unit), or via their included Quick-Con 50/70 mm adapter with coiled USB. Third-party USB wheels fit mechanically thanks to the CDR's industry-standard dimensions.

Which cockpits does the ARES 12 fit?

The ARES series is on Sim-Lab's official compatibility list for the GT1 Evo and GT1 Pro; on the P1X Pro, P1X Ultimate and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS cockpit it mounts via the wheel deck. Bottom M6x4 and side M8x4 threads cover other profile rigs - the mounting template is linked in the Compatibility tab.

Is an E-Stop required?

No - the CES E-Stop is an optional accessory and the wheelbase runs without it. Connection is USB direct with the included cable, no hub needed; configuration happens in the free Conspit Link 2.0. PC only.
