Sim-Lab P1X Ultimate - the P1X frame with straight, fully slotted uprights

The Sim-Lab P1X Ultimate is built on the P1X frame: two 1350 mm side rails of 160x40 aluminium profile, joints on sandwich plates and pre-drilled holes. Its two 120x40 uprights are straight and slotted over their whole length, so a dash or button box is bolted in wherever it is needed, not only at a pre-drilled position.

The wheelbase sits on a front mount, a wheel deck or the Fanatec DD Mount - Simucube 3 and Sim-Lab DDS TorqueSync bases go on the front mount, the Simagic Alpha EVO on the wheel deck. Footprint 1350 x 580 mm (680 mm at the widest point), height 770 mm, 3-year Sim-Lab warranty.

Quad-slot profiles - four slots on each side for shifter, dash and button box

Sim-Lab developed its own quad-slot profiles for the P1X Ultimate, with four slots on each side of the profile. Shifter, handbrake, dash and button box are fixed with slot nuts at any point along a slot, and can be moved later without drilling a new hole. The side mount for a shifter or handbrake is included.

Straight uprights - changing the height does not change the reach

On the Sim-Lab P1X Ultimate the wheelbase mount bolts to two straight 800 mm uprights. Moving the wheelbase, a dash or a button box up or down changes only its height. On an angled upright the same move also shifts the part forward or back, and the distance to the steering wheel has to be set again for every part.

That is the practical difference to the Sim-Lab P1X Pro, which has angled uprights on the same side rails, pedal deck and wheelbase mount options.

Pedal deck, seat and levelling feet - what to plan before you order

The 450 mm wide pedal deck of the Sim-Lab P1X Ultimate takes more than 30 pedal sets on Sim-Lab's list, among them the Sim-Lab XP1, the Simagic P2000 on its baseplate, the Heusinkveld Ultimate+ and the Simucube ActivePedal Ultimate. The seat needs a Sim-Lab bucket seat bracket set, with or without a slider; the Sparco Grid Q fits this way.

The four feet have a threaded ball-joint rod, so the frame can be levelled on an uneven floor, and the two upright sandwich plates are identical parts - no left and right to mix up during assembly.
