Pick the system first, then the torque
The wheelbase decides which steering wheels and quick releases you buy for years.
- Simucube 3 - the Simucube Link Quick Release (sold separately) carries power and data to Link steering wheels through LightBridge, and a Simucube Link Hub is required. How Sport, Pro and Ultimate differ is in our Simucube 3 guide.
- Simagic Alpha EVO - supports the Simagic QR50, QR70 and QR-A quick releases; Simagic steering wheels get their power through the quick release.
- Sim-Lab DDS TorqueSync - the Founders Edition comes with the Xero-Play V2 quick release for 70 mm steering wheels; power and data run through a replaceable slipring and USB 2.0.

Questions before you order
Which wheelbase do I need for a Simucube Link steering wheel such as the BavarianSimTec Delta Pro SC?
A Simucube 3 - Link steering wheels get power and data through the Link Quick Release, which Simucube 2 does not support.
What is the difference between Simucube 3 Sport, Pro and Ultimate?
Peak torque of 15, 25 and 35 Nm; the Sport and Pro use an SPM motor, the Ultimate a spoke-type IPM motor. The quick release, LightBridge and mounting are the same on all three.
How do the Simagic Alpha EVO models differ?
By torque: 9, 12, 18 and 28 Nm. Per Simagic, the Sport, EVO and Pro share the same motor type and 21-bit encoder. No quick release is in the box of any of them - you choose the QR50, QR70 or QR-A separately.
Can I keep my current steering wheel?
On Simucube 3 the Link Quick Release mounts 70 mm steering wheels directly and they connect to the PC with their own USB cable. On Simagic use the QR-A, on Sim-Lab DDS the Xero-Play V2.
Do these wheelbases work with PlayStation or Xbox?
No, all of them are for Windows PC.
Do I need a cockpit?
A rigid aluminium profile cockpit is the usual mount at these torque levels - see sim racing cockpits.
What else do I need to race?
A steering wheel, pedals and a Windows PC; a Simucube 3 also needs the Link Hub and the Link Quick Release. The Simucube Rig Builder offers parts that fit the Simucube 3, and before you order you can always ask us what fits your rig.
