The Simagic Alpha EVO Pro puts 18 Nm into a 130 x 110 mm housing

The Simagic Alpha EVO Pro is the 18 Nm step between the 12 Nm Alpha EVO and the 28 Nm Alpha EVO Ultra, built on the same ultra-low inertia, Zero-Cogging motor platform. It measures 130 x 110 x 317 mm and weighs 8.6 kg.

The Simagic Alpha EVO Pro has torque in reserve for heavy cars

With 18 Nm available, you can run the strength lower in software for GT3, prototype and rally cars and still keep kerb strikes and snap oversteer from reaching the clipping limit. The low-mass rotor keeps the fine detail sharp at those lower settings.

Zero-Cogging keeps the steering even when you hold a steady angle

Conventional motors produce small torque steps as the rotor magnets pass the stator slots; you feel them most when you hold a light, steady steering angle mid-corner. The Zero-Cogging motor design of the Simagic Alpha EVO Pro removes that mechanical stepping, so the steering wheel stays even through a long constant-radius corner or a held slide.

Which torque level fits your driving

The Alpha EVO Sport (9 Nm) and the Alpha EVO (12 Nm) share a shorter 281 mm housing. The Alpha EVO Pro is 36 mm longer and 2.4 kg heavier for 18 Nm. The Alpha EVO Ultra goes to 28 Nm in a 359 mm, 11 kg housing with fan and air-duct cooling and 550 W maximum power, for drivers who run high forces through long stints. All of them take the same QR50 quick release and Simagic steering wheels.

Simagic pedals, shifter and handbrake plug into the Alpha EVO Pro

The Simagic Alpha EVO Pro has 11 output ports at the back - eight RJ45 and three USB-A. Simagic pedals, shifters and handbrakes connect straight to the base, so the whole Simagic rig reaches the PC through one USB cable.

Simagic steering wheels take power through the QR50, others mount with the QR-A

Simagic steering wheels lock onto the magnetic QR50 socket, and power reaches them through its contacts - nothing to charge, nothing to plug in. A third-party steering wheel with a 6 x 70 mm bolt pattern mounts with the optional Simagic QR-A; its USB signal runs through the base, which then also needs its second (Type-C) cable to the PC.

Side, front and desk brackets are sold separately. A front bracket covers the magnetic interface on the shaft, so steering wheels and dashes that connect magnetically will not work with front mounting.

Good to know

  • Not in the box: steering wheel. Simagic wheels (GT Neo, FX Pro, GT1 and others) come with the QR50 wheel side already fitted - the base has the shaft side, so there is nothing else to buy.
  • Third-party wheels need the Simagic QR-A adapter (6x70 mm bolt pattern). With a QR-A, connect the base's second data cable (Type-C) to the PC as well - the wheel's USB signal passes through the base and without that cable the wheel will not work.
  • Sim-Lab cockpits: the Alpha EVO mounts on the wheel deck - the Sim-Lab front mount kits do not fit the EVO. Check the deck length against the mounting drawing before ordering: Sport and EVO are 281 mm long, the EVO Pro 317 mm.
  • A front bracket covers the magnetic interface - do not combine front mounting with wheels that take power or data magnetically.
  • Pedals: Simagic pedals connect through the ecosystem, any third-party pedals over USB straight to the PC.
  • EU version. Warranty is handled by GPerformance - in a warranty case we organise and pay the shipping.
