Simagic Alpha EVO or Alpha EVO Pro - which one should I buy?

They share the same platform - ultra-low inertia motor, zero-cogging, 21-bit encoder, 20 kHz response rate and QR50/QR70/QR-A support. The difference is torque: 12 Nm here versus 18 Nm on the Alpha EVO Pro. If you drive mostly GT and formula at moderate force levels, 12 Nm covers it; the Pro buys extra headroom for heavy effects and endurance stints.

Is 12 Nm enough for a direct drive wheelbase?

For the majority of drivers, yes - 12 Nm is the sweet spot between immersion and fatigue. Typical driving forces sit below the peak, so the remaining margin renders kerbs, slides and ABS pulses without clipping. The ultra-low inertia motor keeps the wheel quick to reverse direction, which matters more for catching slides than raw torque.

Does the Alpha EVO work on PlayStation or Xbox?

No - the Alpha EVO is PC only (Windows), connected over USB and configured in the free SimPro Manager software.

Can I use third-party steering wheels and pedals?

Yes. Third-party wheels mount via the optional Simagic QR-A adapter on top of the native QR50/QR70 support for Simagic wheels. Third-party pedals connect over USB directly to the PC, alongside the full Simagic pedal lineup.

What technology drives the force feedback?

An ultra-low inertia motor with zero-cogging control for smooth rotation without notchiness, a 21-bit encoder resolving over 2 million positions per rotation, and a 20 kHz response rate on a 180 MHz processor. Wireless power feeds the quick release, so Simagic wheels run without cables or batteries.
