The 12 Nm sweet spot

The Alpha EVO brings the new ultra-low inertia servo motor, Zero-Cogging technology and a 21-bit encoder to the 12 Nm sweet spot - the point where force headroom, detail and price meet for most sim racers.

Rotor mass is the number that matters

Two bases with the same torque rating can feel completely different, and the difference is the rotor. A light rotor stops and reverses with almost no momentum of its own, so when the rear steps out the wheel unloads immediately instead of a beat later. That is what you notice first on the Alpha EVO: the corrections arrive on time.

One continuous stream of information

Zero-Cogging control eliminates the notchiness of conventional motors: the 12 Nm arrive as one smooth, consistent stream of information, with fine road texture preserved instead of drowned in cogging steps.

DFDF - a filter written for this motor

Simagic's Dynamic Force Domain Filter runs on the base's 180 MHz processor and reshapes the force signal at a 20 kHz rate before it reaches the motor. Because it was tuned for the low-inertia rotor specifically, it can pass small, fast details - tyre scrub, a kerb edge - without adding the mushiness a generic smoothing filter would. You set the level in SimPro Manager.

Fits the rig you already have

The 281 mm housing bolts to a standard wheel deck from below with the included M6 screws. Side brackets for profile rigs, a front bracket and a desk clamp are optional - the same accessories as for the Sport, since the two share the housing.

Side, front and desk brackets are sold separately. Keep in mind: a front bracket covers the magnetic interface on the shaft, so wheels that take power or data magnetically will not work with front mounting.

Good to know

  • Not in the box: steering wheel. Simagic wheels (GT Neo, FX Pro, GT1 and others) come with the QR50 wheel side already fitted - the base has the shaft side, so there is nothing else to buy.
  • Third-party wheels need the Simagic QR-A adapter (6x70 mm bolt pattern). With a QR-A, connect the base's second data cable (Type-C) to the PC as well - the wheel's USB signal passes through the base and without that cable the wheel will not work.
  • Sim-Lab cockpits: the Alpha EVO mounts on the wheel deck - the Sim-Lab front mount kits do not fit the EVO. Check the deck length against the mounting drawing before ordering: Sport and EVO are 281 mm long, the EVO Pro 317 mm.
  • A front bracket covers the magnetic interface - do not combine front mounting with wheels that take power or data magnetically.
  • Pedals: Simagic pedals connect through the ecosystem, any third-party pedals over USB straight to the PC.
  • EU version. Warranty is handled by GPerformance - in a warranty case we organise and pay the shipping.
