The Simucube 3 lineup
The lineup keeps the familiar three-tier structure. All three bases share the same platform: a 23-bit absolute angle sensor (8 000 000 steps per revolution), front and bottom mounting, the Simucube Link ecosystem, and industrial build quality - designed in Finland, manufactured in the EU.
The Simucube 3 Sport delivers 15 Nm of peak torque from a direct drive optimized SPM motor at 8.7 kg - the benchmark platform in its most accessible form, with the same silent control algorithm and telemetry effects as its bigger siblings.
The Simucube 3 Pro is the performance/value sweet spot of the generation: 25 Nm of peak torque and a 360 W power supply with 450 W peak headroom. For most serious sim racers, this is the base that ends the upgrade path.
The Simucube 3 Ultimate is the flagship: 35 Nm of peak torque from a spoke-type IPM motor built for maximum response speed. Every single unit is laser-scanned and calibrated against its own digital twin, and the warranty extends to 5 years - a wheelbase for motorsport drivers and racing teams who want to buy once and buy right.

Sport and Pro carry a 3-year warranty, the Ultimate 5 years. In short: Sport if you want Simucube fidelity on a sensible budget, Pro if you want torque headroom you will never realistically exhaust, Ultimate if only the maximum will do.
The Link ecosystem and LightBridge
The biggest conceptual change of this generation is the Simucube Link ecosystem. Two components are required alongside every Simucube 3 wheelbase and are sold separately - plan for them in your budget:
The Simucube Link Hub connects the wheelbase to your PC and polls the device status tens of thousands of times per second - that ultra-fast loop is what lets you feel a slide the moment it starts, not a few frames later.
The Link Quick Release is built on P3G polygon technology: a self-centering fit that locks in instantly, large contact surfaces that distribute torque evenly, and a zero-play connection even under the heaviest force feedback loads. On top of the mechanical side sits Simucube LightBridge - power and data transmitted through the quick release contactlessly, with zero wearing parts. No coiled USB cable to the wheel, nothing to fatigue or fail.
Four connection types cover practically everything:
1. Simucube Link wheels (full LightBridge) - both power and data flow through the quick release. Simucube 3 vs Simagic Alpha EVO
We sell both brands, so here is the honest comparison. The Simagic Alpha EVO (12 Nm) and Alpha EVO Pro (18 Nm) are outstanding value: ultra-low inertia motors with Zero-Cogging technology, a 21-bit encoder, wireless power and data through the QR50 quick release, and a wide, affordable wheel ecosystem. For most people starting out, an Alpha EVO leaves more budget for pedals - which is exactly why we recommend it in our beginners guide.
Simucube 3 answers with higher torque tiers (15/25/35 Nm vs 12/18/28 Nm), a higher-resolution 23-bit angle sensor, EU manufacturing, and a 3 to 5-year warranty against Simagic's 2 years. The force feedback character is also different: Simucube's fidelity and consistency remain the reference point in the industry. If the budget allows it and you want the base you will never replace, Simucube 3 is the endgame; if price-performance is the priority, the Alpha EVO line is the smarter buy.
Coming from a Simucube 2
If you run a Simucube 2 today, there is no forced obsolescence - your base keeps working and your Simucube Wireless wheels will even carry over to a future Simucube 3.
