The Ultra is the flagship of the Alpha EVO range. Its 28 Nm outreaches the 18 Nm EVO Pro and places it among the strongest direct-drive bases available, while the ultra-low inertia motor keeps that force fast and precise rather than heavy - so the extra torque adds detail and control, not just raw weight at the rim.

Ultra-low inertia, zero-cogging motor

The 5-pole-pair industrial servo uses a reduced rotor radius - lengthened, with an optimized coil fill rate to keep the torque - so the wheel changes direction with minimal inertia of its own. Zero-cogging control removes the mechanical stepping feel, leaving slip, traction loss and road texture as the only things you feel in the rim.

28 Nm continuous, actively cooled

The 28 Nm rating is continuous, not a short burst - and that is down to the Hyper Cool active cooling system. Japanese vacuum potting, optimized airflow and high-precision temperature sensors keep 100% of the available torque on tap through entire endurance stints, where other wheelbases thermally throttle and fade. In practice the torque works as headroom: most drivers run far less, and the reserve keeps high-downforce cars and curb strikes from clipping.

The 21-bit encoder resolves more than 2 million steps per rotation, so even the smallest steering corrections register. Downstream, the new-generation Dynamic Force Domain Filter (DFDF) rebuilds the FFB curve in real time at microsecond speeds, preserving fine force details through counter-steer flicks and curb strikes. The pipeline runs at 20 kHz, with native support for iRacing's 360 Hz force feedback mode.

Simagic steering wheels connect natively - next-gen wheels over CAN FD, legacy wheels over 2.4G. But the base is not locked to one brand: the optional Simagic QR-A quick release adapter connects most third-party steering wheels over USB passthrough, keeping their screens, LEDs and buttons fully working with no extra wiring. Add to that an 11-port built-in extender (CAN, CAN FD and USB) for pedals, shifters and handbrakes, and the whole rig runs off a single base.

The shell is 500-ton die-cast aerospace aluminium finished with CNC machining, and power comes from a 48 V supply sized for the 28 Nm motor. Every unit passes thousands of hours of maximum-torque stress testing, torque-sensor drift tests and quick-release insertion-fatigue cycles, and the included external kill switch shuts the base down instantly. Does the Alpha EVO Ultra work on PlayStation or Xbox?

No - the Alpha EVO Ultra is PC only (Windows), connected over USB and configured in the free SimPro Manager software. On PC it natively supports iRacing's 360 Hz force feedback mode.
