Sim racing steering wheels: formula, GT or round
A sim racing steering wheel is the rim with the buttons, paddles and often a screen that mounts on the direct drive wheelbase through a quick release. We stock steering wheels from Simagic, BavarianSimTec, Ascher Racing, Simucube, Cube Controls and Sim-Lab, from 280 mm formula rims to 330 mm round rims, all for Windows PC.

Formula
A compact rim with moulded grips - the layout of formula and prototype cars.
Limit: the rim decides where your hands sit - you cannot move your grip around it.
Modern GT
A 295-300 mm rim shaped like the ones in today's GT3 and GT4 cars.
- BavarianSimTec Delta Pro SC: 295 mm, 4.3" screen, SimHub dashboards through Simucube Tuner, no cable on a Simucube 3.
- Ascher Racing McLaren Artura Ultimate: 300 mm, 4" screen, 21 RGB shift lights, USB - on Simagic Alpha EVO through the QR-A.
- Simucube Savu Pro: 295 mm, no screen, two shift and two clutch paddles, Link Quick Release included.
- Simagic GT Neo: 300 mm, QR50 included; the silicone grips are its one compromise in this class.
- Cube Controls Phoenix: 300 mm grip to grip, two clutch paddles in the Extreme version.
Limit: the Delta Pro SC and the Savu Pro run on Simucube 3 only and need the Simucube Link Hub - on another wheelbase take the USB BavarianSimTec Delta PRO.
Round
A 320-330 mm round rim you can hold anywhere - for touring cars, classic GT, rally and road cars.
Limit: a round rim of 320 mm or more wants a full cockpit - on a desk, a formula rim fits better.

Questions before you order
What size sim racing steering wheel do I need?
Formula, prototype and modern GT cars use rims of about 270-300 mm, classic GT and touring cars up to 330 mm, rally 320-330 mm.
Between two sizes, the larger rim is the safer buy - precision suffers less than with a rim that is too small.
Is a formula or a GT steering wheel better?
Neither a formula nor a GT steering wheel is better - the shape follows the cars you race.
Formula rims fit cars with little steering rotation; round rims fit cars where your hands move around the rim.
Do I need clutch paddles on a sim racing steering wheel?
Clutch paddles matter for standing starts.
The Simucube Savu Pro, Simagic FX Pro and Simagic Zeus Formula have two; on the Simagic GT1-SR they are an optional extra.
Do I need a screen on the steering wheel?
A screen on the steering wheel is optional - a dashboard on the wheelbase or the sim's own display shows the same data.

Can I use my steering wheel on a different wheelbase?
USB steering wheels work on most wheelbases; each product page lists them.
Simagic's GT Neo and Neo X go to other wheelbases through the MagLink, the Zeus series through the MagLink Pro.
Do these steering wheels work with PlayStation or Xbox?
No, everything we sell is for Windows PC.
