Generative titanium hub - Extreme

The Phoenix Extreme is the first sim racing wheel built around a generative-design titanium hub - shaped by an algorithm that places material only where the load paths run, then 3D-printed as a single seamless part. No machining away from a block, no joints.

The result is a hub with a race-car strength-to-weight ratio: light on the wheelbase, yet rigid enough to pass every input through without flex. Aerospace-grade titanium, motorsport geometry.

5-axis CNC aluminium hub - Premium

The Premium runs a hub machined on five axes from solid aluminium billet - the same class of machining used for precision motorsport parts. Five-axis cutting allows load-optimised geometry a simpler hub cannot have, so it stays stiff while shedding weight and rotating mass from the wheelbase.

The open internal structure also leaves more room around the connector, which makes mounting, swapping and servicing the wheel faster. Tight tolerances mean no play and no rattle. Available with a grey or gold hub finish.

12-position absolute encoder and 1000 Hz electronics

The control layout combines 10 RGB-backlit tactile buttons, four front rotary encoders, two thumb encoders and two multi-directional joysticks with integrated encoders. New on the Phoenix is a 12-position absolute encoder: each position can be mapped to its own function, giving 12 dedicated inputs on a single rotary, directly from the wheel.

A new PCB architecture and chip run at a 1000 Hz polling rate. RevLite rev lights, the RGB buttons and the backlit logo are all SimHub-controlled, so telemetry-driven lighting works out of the box.

Motorsport body, grips and connection

The main body is die-cast aluminium designed to withstand tensile loads above 400 kg, with motorsport-grade grips on a CNC-machined aluminium core. Proportions follow a compact GT layout - 30 cm grip to grip, 46 mm maximum grip diameter - and stay comfortable in VR.

Shifting is handled by a full CNC-machined shifter with carbon fiber paddles; Premium adds one integrated clutch with launch control, Extreme two. Connection runs through the Q-CONN magnetic cable to USB, with a USB-C pass-through for direct drive wheelbases that route USB through the quick release.

Compatibility

Every Phoenix version ships with its hub (Classic, aluminium or titanium) using the standard formula-style 3-bolt pattern (1-inch and 70 mm PCD). It mounts to any quick release with this pattern - the same standard as the rest of the Cube Controls range - which covers wheelbases from (alphabetical order):

  • Asetek (including quick releases connected via USB to the PCB)
  • Cammus
  • Conspit
  • Fanatec QR1, QR1 Lite, QR2, QR2 Lite, QR2 Pro (via Podium Hub)
  • Moza
  • Simagic
  • Simucube
  • VNM
  • VRS

The quick release itself is not included. Platform: PC only.
