320 mm of suede for hand-over-hand driving

A round rim is the right shape when the wheel has to move through your hands: catching a slide, winding on lock in a hairpin, or the constant corrections of a gravel stage. The Reparto Corse rim gives the GT Pro V2 a full 320 mm diameter with a 36 mm grip, wrapped by hand in genuine suede tanned in Italy - a surface that stays grippy dry or sweaty and lets the rim slip through your palms when you want it to.

The button box behind it is the same carbon-and-aluminium GT Pro V2 unit used with Cube Controls' other rims, so the wheel still works for GT racing when the rally weekend is over.

CubeSet or SimHub - every control your way

Six backlit momentary buttons, two on/off toggles with status LED, two front rotary encoders with RGB rings, two thumb encoders and two multi-directional joysticks with integrated encoders - a GT layout that leaves the thumbs on the rim. Which input does what is assigned in the sim as usual; how the wheel behaves is set in CubeSet, Cube Controls' free software, or through SimHub for telemetry-driven lighting on the buttons and rotaries.

Zero-play magnetic paddles, clutches optional

The V2 shifters were redesigned around ball bearings and adjustable stop ends: no play at rest, a short magnetic throw, and a firm tactile snap you feel through a glove when you are shifting mid-slide with one hand. Choose the 2-paddle version for shifters only, or the 4-paddle version, which adds a clutch pair with stiffer springs and Cube Controls' launch control system for standing starts - clutch and shifter behaviour is then configured in CubeSet.

Four hours on battery, or plug the Q-CONN in

The GT Pro V2 runs both ways. Wireless over Bluetooth, a 1,500 mAh LiPo battery gives up to four hours of driving with no cable to route through the quick release; wired, the Q-CONN magnetic connector with its straight-back USB cable snaps on in one move and charges the wheel while you drive. Status LEDs on the box tell you where you stand - blue charged, purple charging, red empty - and an on/off pushbutton on the back saves the battery between sessions.

Compatibility

Windows PC only Connects over Bluetooth or with the Q-CONN cable to a USB port on the PC. Not compatible with Xbox or PlayStation.


Good to know

  • There is no "SC" or LightBridge version of the GT Pro V2 - it talks to the PC directly, so it works the same way on Simucube 2 and Simucube 3.
  • The hub is in the box, the quick release wheel side is not: Simucube 2 QR wheel side kit for Simucube 2, Link Quick Release for Simucube 3, Simagic QR 70 for Simagic.
  • Wireless mode runs on the battery only - for long endurance stints keep the Q-CONN cable connected; it charges while you drive.
