Digital racing car dashboard displaying speed, lap time, and RPM with colorful buttons and carbon fiber finish.

A SimHub dashboard where the badge used to be

The 4-inch 800 x 480 touchscreen has native SimHub support, so any dashboard you build or download - fuel, deltas, tyre temps, lap maps - runs on the wheel with no extra hardware. The 17 RGB LEDs above it and the RGB rings on the buttons and rotaries take their colours from the same SimHub telemetry, and switching dashboards is a tap on the glass mid-stint.

Formula, LMP, endurance GT - one wheel

At 282 mm grip to grip with a 45 mm grip, the CSX-3 sits between a narrow single-seater wheel and a GT3 wheel - compact enough for a Formula 2 or hypercar cockpit, wide enough to feel natural in an endurance GT stint. The sculpted grips keep your hands in the same place for hours, and the input count means you never run out of controls when the class changes.

Magnetic shifters and launch-control clutches

The shifters are zero-play magnetic switchless paddles on ball bearings with adjustable stop ends and a short, firm throw. Behind them sit two analogue clutch paddles with a launch control system - bite point and curves are set in CubeSet, so a standing start is repeatable rather than lucky.

The 6-paddle version adds a pair of CORE paddles for free-mapped functions - pit limiter, overtake or DRS on a paddle instead of a button.

Carbon face, aluminium core

A pure carbon fiber front plate over a die-cast aluminium main body: the wheel does not flex on a 25 Nm base, and at 1,143 g it does not blunt the force feedback either. Button guards are shaped so you find the right control without looking, and the Black or Blue finish is anodised, not painted.

Good to know

  • There is no "SC" or LightBridge version of the CSX-3 - it talks to the PC directly, so it works the same way on Simucube 2 and Simucube 3.
  • The quick release wheel side is not in the box: Simucube 2 QR wheel side kit for Simucube 2, Link Quick Release for Simucube 3, Simagic QR 70 for Simagic.
  • Wireless mode runs on the battery only - for long endurance stints keep the Q-CONN cable connected; it charges while you drive.
