Active pedals and flagship hydraulics
Professional braking hardware splits into two philosophies. Flagship passive sets - like the Heusinkveld Sim Pedals Ultimate+ and the hydraulic Simagic P2000 - perfect the mechanical formula with high load cells, damping and race car geometry. Active pedals go further: the pedal face itself is driven by a motor, so the feel is defined in software and can change per car, per corner, per moment.
What an active pedal actually does
The Simucube ActivePedal Pro generates up to 110 kg of force across 74 mm of travel and can be configured as a brake, throttle or clutch. Because the resistance curve is software-defined, it reproduces effects a passive pedal physically cannot: ABS pulsing under the foot, traction control interventions, lockups and surface changes. The Simucube ActivePedal Ultimate extends the same concept at the top of the range.
Built for training and esports
This class exists for environments where braking consistency is measured, not guessed - driver training, esports teams and professional simulators. Everything here assumes a rigid platform, so a flagship cockpit completes the package. Drivers not ready for active hardware will find the mechanical peak in the advanced pedal sets.
