Wheelbase accessories: mounting, quick releases and add-ons
A direct drive wheelbase is only as precise as what holds it - any flex in the mount turns into vague force feedback, so mounting comes first.
Mounting your wheelbase
The Simucube Wheelbase Mount v2 is CNC-machined aluminium for all Simucube 2 and Simucube 3 bases, with stepless tilt from -24° to +20° and inverted mounting. Simagic Alpha EVO bases have no front threads from the factory - use the MB-S side mount pair or the MB-F front mount, which disables the magnetic front connectivity. Asetek bases take the Side Mount with Tilt (up to 10°). No cockpit yet? The Simagic T-LOC clamps Alpha, Alpha Mini and Alpha U bases to desks up to 56 mm thick, and the P-DFT fixture fits desks 10 to 80 mm thick.
Quick release interfaces
Simucube 3 needs the Link Hub and the Link Quick Release; the Simucube 3 70 mm Adapter replaces that interface for third-party quick releases. The Simagic QR-A mounts third-party 50/70 mm wheels on Alpha EVO, and the Maglink Pro Xtend brings Zeus wheels to Alpha series bases. The Simagic Motor Shaft Extender (15 or 20 cm) does not fit Alpha EVO. Wheel-side parts are in steering wheel accessories.
Hubs, dashboards and controls
The Simucube Link Hub connects all Simucube devices from 2024 on through one USB port; combining two ActivePedals, or an ActivePedal with a Simucube 3, also needs the Teltonika Ethernet Switch. For telemetry, the Ascher Racing dashboards and the BavarianSimTec DDU5 run with SimHub - more in dashboards - and the BavarianSimTec Control Center puts 20 backlit buttons within reach of the wheel.
