Mounting Requirements

The Simucube 2 Pro is designed to be hard-mounted using M8 bolts. It does not come with a desk clamp, so it must be installed on a dedicated cockpit. The wheelbase has a universal front mounting pattern, and an optional front mounting bracket is available for rigs that don’t support direct mounting.

If you’re unsure whether your rig is strong enough, the general rule is that if the rig can handle 25Nm of torque without flexing, it should work well with the Simucube 2 Pro.

I recently upgraded from my 15nm Simagic Alpha to the Simucube wheelbase, and while it’s a clear step up, it’s not a huge leap as both wheelbases run at 360Hz FFB. The Simucube feels "sharper," with quicker acceleration when simulating things like kerbs or sudden forces. However, the improvement is more incremental than revolutionary.
The wheelbase feels really good to drive while giving excellent feedback.
One notable improvement is how the Simucube stabilizes the wheel on straight sections. With my previous Simagic wheelbase, I experienced significant oscillation on the straights if I didn’t hold the wheel, but the Simucube does a much better job at keeping things steady.
The True Drive Software Profiles were one of the coolest experiences I've had recently in Sim Racing. The Simucube Software offers so many customization options that it would have taken hours of testing to get it dialed in. But with the online gallery of profiles, I was able to pick one that was highly rated, and the result felt really good right away. That’s a huge time-saver!
Overall, it’s a great upgrade.
That said, the Quick Release (QR) system on the Simucube feels like a mixed bag. While it’s definitely more durable with zero flex, even at high torque, getting the wheel off the base is a bit of a hassle. It tends to catch, requiring significant force and effort to release the wheel from the base.

Coming from a belt-driven base I had high expectations on this direct drive base and once I could finally afford to get one, it was like a dream coming true. Simucube 2 Pro is just state of the art with no compromise in any aspect. Build quality is excellent. The only plastic thing you will find is the radio antenna. It’s rock solid and every bit of it screams quality. Mounting it was pretty easy. The software is excellent with proprietary technology as slew rate and other filters that give endless possibility of tweaking. Driving goes to another level. To top level I would say! Every detail can be felt and it’s really as if you can feel tyres on your hands! I am really so enthusiast by this base I can’t recommend it enough! I know other brands offer great DD bases at lower prices but if you like no compromises, go get this one and you can’t go wrong!
