How do racing seats mount on a sim rig?
Via lateral side mounts - the same M8 side-fastening standard real motorsport uses - bolted to brackets on the cockpit's seat rails. A seat slider between the two adds fore-aft adjustment, worth it whenever multiple drivers share the rig.
Do seat sizes and weight limits matter?
Very much - racing shells are cut tight by design, and ultra-light models carry real limits: the Sparco REV QRT, for example, is not recommended for drivers over 75 kg. If you are taller or broader, choose a roomier shell or a reclinable seat - and if unsure, write to us with your height and weight before ordering.
Is a real motorsport seat overkill for sim racing?
No - it is one of the most underrated upgrades. A stable, supportive seat keeps your body position identical lap after lap, which directly improves pedal consistency, and genuine motorsport construction shrugs off years of daily sessions. Comfort is lap time you keep for the whole stint.
Can I use a harness on a sim rig?
Yes - seats with backrest harness slots accept a 4-point harness, which adds the strapped-in feel and keeps you planted with motion systems or aggressive braking. On a static rig it is optional immersion; with motion hardware it becomes genuinely useful.

Buying for a business?
1. At checkout, fill in the shipping address first.
2. The "Company VAT number" field appears only after the shipping address is filled in - directly below it. With a valid EU VAT number, VAT is automatically deducted for delivery to another EU country (reverse charge).
3. Enter your company billing address at the bottom of the checkout, above the button to complete the order - select "Use a different billing address" if it differs from the shipping address.
VAT numbers are verified automatically via the VIES system. If VAT is not deducted, contact us before placing the order, we will assist you.
