The XP1's core is its carefully designed loadcell with a 16-bit analog input. The innovative in-line placement of the loadcell means the force reading follows exactly what the foot does - superior control and brake accuracy through every phase of braking.

Dual-Stage Damper

The brake uses a two-stage feel: a softer initial compression for the first part of the travel, then a firm loadcell stage that reads force like a real hydraulic brake. Elastomers and springs swap in minutes, and both the stiffness and the initial first-stage compression are adjustable - from formula-firm to a softer endurance setup, with full control during trail braking.

How strong is the XP1 brake?

The proprietary 200 kg loadcell translates to up to 100 kg of actual pedal pressure, read at 16-bit precision. The two-stage feel comes from swappable elastomers and springs with adjustable stiffness and initial compression - from road-car soft to properly stiff.

Sim-Lab XP1 or Heusinkveld Sprint?

Both are excellent loadcell sets. The XP1 offers a higher brake force ceiling (up to 100 kg versus 65 kg) at a lower price, with full-metal construction and RaceDirector software. The Heusinkveld Sprint counters with the SmartControl ecosystem, profile sharing and the Simucube ActivePedal integration path. Neither is a wrong choice - it comes down to budget and ecosystem.

What can be adjusted on the XP1?

Practically everything mechanical: resistance, pre-load, maximum travel, pedal inclination, plus pedal face height and angle (the faces are swappable too). The clutch adds an adjustable bite point, and the throttle and clutch use wear-free Hall sensors. Curves and calibration live in the free RaceDirector software.

Do the XP1 pedals work on Xbox or PlayStation?

No - the XP1 is PC only (Windows), configured in Sim-Lab's free RaceDirector software and working as a standard game controller in all major sims.

Will the XP1 mount on my rig?

Almost certainly - the XP1 mounts on virtually any pedal deck, with unconstrained pedal positioning. Natural partners are the Sim-Lab GT1 Evo and GT1 Pro, but any aluminium profile or steel tube cockpit with a pedal plate works.
