FAQs

SC or USB version - which one is right for my setup?

Simple split: on a Simucube wheelbase, the SC version connects wirelessly - natively on Simucube 2, and via the Simucube Link Hub (required, not included) on Simucube 3. On anything else - Fanatec, Asetek, Simagic, VRS and more - take the USB version, which also offers animated telemetry lighting the SC's static profiles do not.

Is a quick release included?

No - the wheel mounts via the standard 6 x 70 mm bolt pattern, which fits most hubs and quick releases; M5 x 12 mm stainless screws are included in the box.

Is it really the same as the real McLaren wheel?

It is based on the official McLaren Artura GT4 wheel and uses identical components to the real racing steering wheel - the same automotive push buttons, paddle hardware and 300 mm closed-rim format - with the functionality optimized for esports. That authenticity is the Artura line's whole premise.

How does the lighting differ between the USB and SC versions?

The USB version runs animated, telemetry-supported lighting through the official SimHub integration - flags, shift points and states live on the 14 RGB buttons. The SC version uses static lighting with brightness and color profiles controlled directly on the wheel, which is what enables its battery life of up to 30 hours with lights on (and up to 800 hours with lights off).

Artura Pro, Sport, GT4 or Ultimate - what is the difference?

The Pro sits near the top: 14 RGB buttons, 4 thumb encoders, 2 seven-way joysticks and 2 rotary switches. The Artura Ultimate adds a dashboard display on top, while the Artura Sport and Artura GT4 offer simpler control layouts at friendlier prices - all on the same authentic McLaren body.
