SOELPEC Spectra LT screenless formula steering wheel with customizable LED light bars and RGB backlit buttons

Screenless by design - lighter and simpler

The Spectra LT delivers the Spectra platform without the display: the same 302 mm formula shape and input array, at 1200 g instead of the XR's 1350 g. In place of the touchscreen sit customizable LED light bars with a rev strip and 16 configurable LEDs, and every button and encoder is RGB-backlit.

A dedicated settings button on the back of the wheel adjusts clutch modes, LED brightness and other functions directly on the wheel - and the downloadable SOELPEC dashboard can run on an external screen or as an overlay over the sim, so telemetry stays in view even without an integrated display.

SOELPEC Spectra combined shifter and clutch paddle module with carbon fiber paddles

Magnetic shifters and Hall-sensor dual clutches

The shifter and clutch paddles use SOELPEC's combined module - rigid and lightweight, with longer paddle arms and a short travel distance for natural shifts with less rotation under the fingers. The carbon fiber shifter paddles run on ball bearings with N52 magnets, and the actuation force is tunable with the extra magnets included in the box.

The dual clutches also run on ball bearings and use contactless Hall sensors for precise analog input, with multiple clutch modes - including static and dynamic - configurable through SimHub.

SOELPEC Spectra dual-action thumb encoder with 8 inputs in total

17 buttons, 7-way switches and dual-action encoders

17 push buttons use 700 gf tactile switches - a firm, deliberate click that resists accidental presses mid-corner, with PMMA caps acting as LED diffusers and recessed sticker labels that sit flush with the surface. Two 7-way switches and three center encoders with push function handle rotary car settings.

Both thumb encoders are dual-action: each acts as two independent encoders, switched via its push button, for 8 thumb inputs in total. Rear-facing buttons within reach of the index fingers keep critical functions accessible without moving your hands from the grips.

SOELPEC Spectra LT 6061 anodized aluminium structure with carbon fiber center plate and silicone grips

6061 aluminium core, carbon plate, silicone grips

The structural core is precisely machined from billet 6061 anodized aluminium with a carbon fiber center plate, and the 50A silicone grips are overmolded directly onto the structure - the open-bottom handles stay rigid and transmit wheelbase feedback without flex, in a notably thin profile.

At 1200 g without the rear hub, rotational inertia stays low and the wheel does not damp force feedback on high-torque direct-drive bases. The included 42 mm color-coordinated hub houses the clutch spring mechanism and the internal USB connection, and bolts to any quick release with a 70 mm 6-hole pattern.

What our customers say about this product

FAQs

What is the difference between the Spectra LT and the Spectra XR?

The Spectra LT is the screenless version of the same platform: identical 302 mm shape, 17 buttons, 7-way switches, encoders, magnetic shifters and dual clutches. Instead of the XR's 5-inch touchscreen it uses customizable LED light bars and 16 configurable LEDs, and it weighs 1200 g instead of 1350 g. If you race in VR or run a separate dashboard display, the LT gives up very little - the Spectra XR adds the integrated touchscreen and 23 display LEDs.

Which wheelbases is the Spectra LT compatible with?

The included 42 mm rear hub uses the standard 70 mm 6-hole mounting pattern, so the wheel fits quick releases from Simucube, Simagic, Asetek and most other direct-drive ecosystems. A wheel-side quick release is not included. An internal USB cable is included for quick releases with an integrated USB connection.

How does the wheel connect to my PC?

Through the included 4-pin spiral USB cable, plugged directly into the PC - this works with any wheelbase brand. On quick releases with integrated USB, the internal USB cable replaces the external one. The Spectra LT is PC only.

What software drives the lighting and settings?

Everything runs on SimHub - select the Spectra LT in the devices section and all lighting functions become available, with prebuilt profiles ready out of the box. The dedicated settings button adjusts clutch modes and LED brightness directly on the wheel, and the SOELPEC dashboard can be downloaded via the link in the Manual and Downloads tab above. A powered USB hub is recommended for the highest LED brightness levels.

Can the shifter paddle force be adjusted?

Yes. The magnetic shifters use N52 magnets, and additional magnets are included in the box to tune the actuation force. The dual clutch paddles offer multiple clutch modes - static and dynamic - configurable through SimHub.
