What makes the ActivePedal Ultimate different from normal sim pedals?

It is the world's first active force feedback pedal: an electric motor replaces springs, elastomers and hydraulics, so one pedal becomes any pedal - a GT brake, an F1 brake, a throttle or a clutch - with travel, stiffness and force curve defined in software and telemetry effects (ABS, traction control, G-force, RPM) fed physically into your foot.

Do I need to buy a Simucube Link Hub separately?

Not with the Primary Set - the Link Hub is included, and a single hub runs all Simucube Link devices. Choose the Add-on variant only when adding a second pedal to an existing setup (it includes an ethernet switch instead). Combining the pedal with a Simucube 3 wheelbase requires the Teltonika Ethernet Switch.

How much maintenance does the ActivePedal Ultimate need?

Practically none - there are no elastomers to swap, no oil and no hydraulics to bleed. Changing the pedal feel is a software profile, not a mechanical job, and the pedal carries a 5-year warranty.

Can I keep my Heusinkveld throttle and clutch next to it?

Yes - a very common setup. The Ultimate+ throttle and clutch work outright; for the Sprint the ActivePedal Connector is recommended (one per pedal) so everything is adjusted in one software. Any other third-party pedals also work alongside, tuned in their own software.

What cockpit do I need for 170 kg of brake force?

A rigid, heavy-duty pedal deck - anything that flexes eats the precision. Natural fits are the Sim-Lab P1X Ultimate, P1X Pro and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS cockpit; for other rigs check the mounting hole dimensions linked in the Compatibility tab.
