Next-Gen Performance, Exceptional Value

The most accessible entry into Simagic direct drive: the same ultra-low inertia motor, Zero-Cogging technology and 21-bit encoder as the stronger EVO models, tuned to 9 Nm - and at 6.2 kg, the lightest base of the lineup.

Ultra-Low Inertia Tech

The rotor's minimal mass lets the wheel reverse direction the instant the car does - the property that makes catching slides feel natural. At 9 Nm the low inertia stands out even more: the Sport reacts just as sharply as its stronger siblings.

Zero-Cogging Tech

Zero-Cogging control removes the notchiness of conventional motors: rotation stays perfectly smooth from lock to lock, so fine road detail comes through undistorted - consistent feedback lap after lap.

FAQs

Is 9 Nm enough for a direct drive wheelbase?

For most drivers starting with direct drive - yes. 9 Nm sits far above any belt- or gear-driven wheel and leaves headroom for detail effects. At this level the motor quality matters more than the raw number: the Sport runs the same ultra-low inertia, zero-cogging motor technology and 21-bit encoder as the stronger Alpha EVO models.

What is the difference between the Alpha EVO Sport, EVO and EVO Pro?

Torque is the ladder: Sport 9 Nm, Alpha EVO 12 Nm, Alpha EVO Pro 18 Nm. The platform is shared - ultra-low inertia motor, zero-cogging, 21-bit encoder, wireless power for the quick release and full QR50/QR70/QR-A support - so you choose purely by how much force headroom you want.

Does the Alpha EVO Sport work on PlayStation or Xbox?

No - the Alpha EVO Sport is PC only (Windows), with full native support over USB and configuration in the free SimPro Manager software.

Which steering wheels fit the Alpha EVO Sport?

All Simagic steering wheels natively, via the QR50 and QR70 quick releases with wireless power. Third-party wheels mount through the optional Simagic QR-A adapter. Pedals connect either through the Simagic ecosystem or as third-party USB pedals directly to the PC.

Which cockpits is the Alpha EVO Sport compatible with?

Officially: Sim-Lab GT1 EVO, GT1 Pro, P1X Pro, P1X Ultimate and the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS cockpit. Note that on Sim-Lab cockpits the Alpha EVO series mounts on the wheel deck - the Sim-Lab front mount kits do not support Alpha EVO. For other rigs, check the mounting dimensions drawing linked in the Compatibility tab.
