Heusinkveld MagShift - GT-style sequential shifter with magnetic shift system

Patented magnetic shift system

The compact base houses a magnetic shift mechanism that recreates the feel of an actual gear clicking into place - a sharp, satisfying clunk on every up- and downshift. Because magnets replace mechanical wear parts and shifts are detected by opto-electronic sensors, the feel stays consistent over time: the system is tested for 1 million duty cycles.

Heusinkveld MagShift - side view with adjustment options

3-way adjustable shift force

The overall force, upshift and downshift are all set individually - for example a firm upshift with a soft downshift to match a specific car. The peak shift force adjusts anywhere between 4.5 and 11 kg; at the firmest setting the lever demands the same effort as a sequential shifter in a real race car.

Heusinkveld MagShift - integrated mini button box detail

Integrated mini button box

Three tactile buttons sit in the base, placed within reach without interfering with shifting - assign lights, wipers, the pit limiter, a handbrake or launch control. With the free SmartControl software the lever and buttons expand to 10 customizable outputs: each input gets a primary and secondary function triggered by how long you press, saved into profiles. SmartControl Live then switches profiles while you drive - for example reversing the shift direction at the touch of a button.

Heusinkveld MagShift - U-shaped mounting bracket adjustment options

Mounting made easy

The included U-shaped bracket attaches to an aluminium profile with just two bolts and takes up a single profile slot. The bracket's hole pattern handles the fine-tuning: rotate it for yaw, pick one of three horizontal rows for height, or use a diagonal combination of holes to tilt the shifter towards you.

What our customers say about this product

FAQs

What is the difference between the MagShift and the MagShift Mini?

Both share the patented magnetic shift system and wear-free opto-electronic sensors. The MagShift is the full-size GT-style shifter: 4.5-11 kg shift force, an integrated 3-button box and up to 10 outputs via SmartControl. The MagShift Mini is ultra-compact (169 mm), adjusts from 4 to 8 kg, has no buttons and offers up to 4 outputs - built for tight rigs at a lower price.

Can the shift force be adjusted?

Yes, in three ways: the overall force, the upshift and the downshift are all set individually, anywhere between 4.5 and 11 kg. At the firmest setting the lever demands the same effort as a sequential shifter in a real race car.

Does the MagShift work on Xbox or PlayStation?

No - the MagShift is PC only (Windows 10 or newer). It connects over USB plug and play with the controller integrated in the base; SmartControl and SmartControl Live are free optional downloads.

What are the three buttons on the MagShift for?

They are freely assignable - typically lights, wipers, pit limiter or launch control. With SmartControl the lever and buttons expand to 10 outputs, each with a primary and secondary function based on press duration, and SmartControl Live can switch whole profiles while driving - including reversing the shift direction.

How durable is the magnetic shift mechanism?

The mechanism uses magnets instead of mechanical wear parts and detects shifts with contactless opto-electronic sensors, so the feel does not degrade over time. The system is tested for 1 million duty cycles and carries a 2-year warranty.
