Warranty, exchanges and returns

Warranty and legal guarantee

The manufacturer's warranty period for this product is shown below the Add to cart button. Some brands offer longer coverage - Simucube and Sim-Lab products come with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty, and the Simucube ActivePedal Ultimate with 5 years.

If you buy as a consumer, you also have a minimum two-year legal guarantee from GPerformance as the seller. The manufacturer's warranty is additional and does not replace or limit your statutory rights.

If something goes wrong, contact us - we'll handle the claim for you, including any coordination with the manufacturer. You don't have to deal with anything yourself, and shipping cost is on us.

Product exchange within 14 days

Sometimes gear feels different on your rig than you expected - force feedback, pedal response, wheel ergonomics. That's fine. Within 14 days of delivery, you can request an exchange for a different product or variant. The product just needs to be in good condition, complete and returned in its original box - short testing on your rig is fine.

Exchanges are meant for genuine purchases, not for trying out products. If you're unsure what suits your setup or driving style, ask us before ordering - we're happy to help, and we want you racing on gear you're happy with. For business (B2B) purchases, please contact us first.

14-day right of withdrawal

If you buy as a consumer and change your mind, let us know within 14 days of receiving the product - no reason needed. You can use the Withdraw from contract link in the footer or email support@gperformance.eu.

Once you've notified us, you have another 14 days to send the product back. The direct cost of return shipping is covered by you. If the product is faulty or you received the wrong item, contact us first and we'll arrange a suitable return method.

Inspecting and returning the product

You can unpack and inspect the product just as you would in a store. Handle it with care and return it complete, with all accessories, cables and manuals. Keep the original box and protective materials, as they help protect the product during return shipping.

If you've handled or used the product beyond what's needed to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, you keep your right of withdrawal, but we may reduce the refund by the loss in value this caused.

Aluminium and carbon - 1150 g with hub

The Astra runs a full aluminium chassis - a die-cast main body with an aluminium front plate - with carbon fiber used where it counts: the shifter paddles and the front badge. The construction approach is carried straight from Cube Controls' motorsport wheels, for high structural rigidity at minimal weight.

At 1100 g for the construction - 1150 g with the hub attached - the Astra keeps rotational inertia low, so force feedback detail comes through sharper, which is especially noticeable on lower-torque wheelbases.

Eloi shifter and clutch module

The Astra debuts Cube Controls' Eloi system: shifters and dual clutch paddles integrated into a single full-CNC-machined unit with carbon fiber paddles. The shifters are silenced and short-travel - fast, positive gear changes without the loud mechanical clack.

The two integrated clutches support a launch control clutch system with a custom force clutch spring, and both clutches and shifters are configurable in software. The same module is fitted to every Astra variant, including the Base.

10 RGB buttons, 7-way joysticks and a new CPU

The proprietary tactile button assembly was redesigned for this wheel - 10 RGB-backlit buttons with revised pressure and shape, joined by two toggle switches, two front rotary encoders, two thumb encoders and two multi-directional 7-way joysticks with integrated encoders. An on/off pushbutton sits on the back of the wheel.

Underneath runs a completely new CPU and PCB architecture - the most responsive electronics Cube Controls has built to date - and everything is SimHub compatible down to the RGB-controlled backlit logo.

Grips shaped by thousands of hours of testing

The silicone grips are new for the Astra, shaped through extensive ergonomic testing and finished with an improved texture and coating over previous Cube Controls models. Grip-to-grip width is 295 mm with a 41 mm maximum grip diameter - compact, formula-style proportions that also work well in VR.

Connection runs through the Q-CONN magnetic cable to USB - the same standard used across the current Cube Controls lineup, included in the box with every variant.

FAQs

What is the difference between the Astra Base and Astra Premium?

The internals are identical - same Eloi shifter and clutch module, same electronics, same buttons and the same driving experience. The Premium adds CNC-machined aluminium knobs on the 7-way switches and thumb encoders, premium stickers, and includes the quick release hub; the Base comes with standard knobs and without the hub. Premium Black and Premium Blue differ only in the colorway.

Which wheelbases is the Astra compatible with?

Through the hub, the Astra fits any wheelbase or quick release with a standard 50.8 mm or 70 mm attachment - Simucube, Simagic, Asetek (including quick releases with USB connection), Moza, VRS, VNM, Cammus and Conspit, plus Fanatec QR1/QR2 via the Podium Hub. Note that the hub is included only with the Premium variants; for the Base it must be purchased separately. The full list is in the Compatibility tab above.

How does the Astra connect to the PC?

Through the Q-CONN magnetic connection cable to USB, included in the box with every variant. The Astra is PC only.

Can the shifters and clutches be adjusted?

Yes - both the shifters and the dual clutches are configurable in software, and the clutch system supports launch control with a custom force clutch spring. The shifters themselves are silenced with a short travel.

Does the Astra work with SimHub?

Yes - the Astra is fully SimHub compatible down to the RGB-controlled backlit logo, so the 10 RGB buttons and the logo can be mapped to telemetry-driven illumination. The new CPU and PCB architecture make it the most responsive wheel in the Cube Controls lineup.
