Brake feels like a real race car brake

The Ultimate+ offers a stiff yet compact design able to withstand significantly higher loads than the Sprint set: up to 140 kg of actual force at the brake pedal - Formula-level braking, matching F2 and LMP pedal forces.

Pro drivers from international FIA Formula categories to national Touring Car competitions report the feel of these pedals is the closest they have come to their real cars in a simulated environment. The reason is the 2-way hydraulic damper in each pedal, tuned to return exactly like a pressurized brake system would.

The result is brake modulation and trail braking with an accuracy conventional spring pedals cannot reproduce.

Made for superior car control

In a real racing car, you control the rotation of the chassis into the corner with your brakes. In the mid corner to exit phase, you control the car with the throttle. This is where the Heusinkveld Ultimates+ really stand out.

Pedals built to last

Automated testing shows the custom injection-molded thermoset elastomers have zero performance degradation even after one million duty cycles. A total of 9 resistance settings set the brake from very soft to extremely stiff.

The SmartControl advantage

The Sim Pedals Ultimate+ come with a powerful configuration tool allowing you to set up your pedals in ways not previously possible: SmartControl. Working together with all-new electronics, SmartControl allows for instant mapping of (non-linear) pedal output curves, pedal deadzones and brake pedal force.

FAQs

Is the Ultimate+ worth it over the Sprint?

If you brake hard and chase maximum realism - yes. The Ultimate+ takes up to 140 kg of force (versus 65 kg on the Sprint), adds a 2-way hydraulic damper to every pedal and uses proprietary thermoset elastomers with a concave, race-car force curve. For moderate braking forces, the Sprint delivers the same loadcell principle and SmartControl ecosystem at a much lower price.

How stiff can the Ultimate+ brake get?

Up to 140 kg of actual force at the footplate on a 200 kg loadcell - comparable to a Formula 1 car, where a classic road car needs only about 4 kg for maximum braking. Nine resistance settings span very soft to extremely stiff, and automated testing shows zero elastomer degradation even after one million duty cycles.

Do the Ultimate+ pedals work on Xbox or PlayStation?

No - the Ultimate+ is PC only (Windows 10 or newer), connected over USB. SmartControl handles curves, deadzones and unlimited profiles; SmartControl Live switches them while you drive.

What does the hydraulic damper on each pedal do?

It resists speed on both the ingoing and outgoing stroke - exactly how a pressurized brake assembly behaves in a real car. The pedal does not just spring back; it returns with controlled damping, and the amount is adjustable per pedal.

Does the Ultimate+ work with a Simucube ActivePedal?

Yes, out of the box - the Ultimate+ throttle and clutch run alongside an ActivePedal brake with no adapter. The optional ActivePedal Connector unifies everything into one software, and the Ultimate+ Add-on Throttle exists as a standalone pedal for ActivePedal setups.
